Lifetime Aftercare
Aftercare and "Peace of Mind" Guarantees
Some facilities offer "peace of mind" to the families sponsoring a loved one through treatment. Many addicts have tried and failed various treatment methods only to relapse, sometimes quickly after release. This can be a frustrating and heartbreaking experience to a family that just shouldered the burden of treatment. There are a few long term private care facilities that do offer "peace of mind" guarantees.

Aftercare Services for Drug Treatment
Simply stated once the addict has successfully completed the program should they falter or relapse within the first six months of release they are eligible for re-admittance at no charge. This can be of great value to families and addicts who have relapsed after completing treatment before.
At some facilities a long term aftercare is suggested, some even offer this in the form of a "work exchange" program. Which is available to those who feel that intensive aftercare treatment is the best option. Once the addict has successfully completed the program and based on their performance during treatment they are eligible to apply to stay another six months. During this time they will help other addicts achieve what they have found in sobriety in exchange for a nominal salary, room and board, and aftercare treatment in a supportive environment.
These value added services are only available at a limited few private facilities and have proven to be invaluable to families and addicts.
Different Drug rehabs, rehabilitation centers, alcohol treatment organizations, sober living homes, therapeutic communities, treatment methodologies exist to provide the public options. So it is important to know, when the problem is alcohol, methamphetamines (crystal, ice, shards etc.), heroin, cocaine, marijuana, oxycontin, prescription drugs, vicodin, lortab, norco, methadone other opiates benzodiazepines (xanax, valium, ativan, restoril, klonipin), crack, LSD, phychadellic mushrooms (shrooms), ecstasy (X, MDMA), PCP, club drugs (GHB, special K (Ketamine)- and the list goes on - which organization is the best? Which drug treatment program or alcohol rehab center specializes in treating one drug rather than another? Which knows how to treat the drug-induced psychoses resulting from methamphetamines and meth abuse and overdose? Who specializes is the physically violent, painful detoxification from opiates using the latest, cutting edge, and innovative treatments? Is rapid opiate detox safe? Is buprenorphine (buprenex, subutex, suboxone) the best opiate detox option available? Who offers what services? Does the drug treatment center or alcohol rehab program use a 12-step methodology, an alternative treatment model, a holistic approach, scientology (Narconon), Ibbogaine, SMART recovery, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), online treatment, wilderness treatment or another approach? All of these methodologies have their merits for treating specific populations, but this is where DARS (Drug and Alcohol Rehab Services) shines. We understand the intricacies of successful rehabilitation and recovery from drug addiction and alcoholism, and have relationships with treatment providers throughout the country to place your loved one in the center - whether it be residential treatment, long-term care, extended care, outpatient drug treatment, sober living, specialty treatment (CBT, DBT), Narconon (Scientology based treatment) or otherwise, that will be most appropriate, cost effective, safe, and most importantly, work the first time. Too may times we hear stories of individuals who have gone to rehab 10+ times and are still out on a "run" drinking alcohol and/or using drugs. Now the 10+ treatment programs that failed with the addict would say it's the addict's fault, or "he just wasn't ready" etc. We at DARS believe that so much of the challenge is to get the individual to the right place, at the right time, to impart the right tools so that drug rehab isn't something one does to get a 30 day (very expensive) break from drug use but actually achieve, retain, and live a happy, healthy lifestyle free from chemical dependency the bonds of drugs and alcohol addiction.
Give us a call we at DARS (Drug and Alcohol Rehab Services) are available to assist 24 hours a day to provide assistance in saving the life of someone you love. We hear too many times "I wish I had called you earlier, maybe my son would still be alive today". Don't wait until the destruction of drugs and alcohol on the individual and the entire family system is complete. Pick up the phone, make the call. We can help. Even if it's just a friendly voice on the other end of the phone who understands that is needed, call.
